Hi, I’m Julie! With over 30 years of experience helping people just like you, I’m passionate about guiding individuals through life’s emotional challenges. My background includes mental health counseling, psychiatric rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury recovery, and employment counseling—but where I truly shine is in helping people find relief from anger, stress, and the impacts of bullying.
Whether you’ve experienced bullying at school, in the workplace, or are dealing with overwhelming emotions like anger and anxiety, I’m here to walk with you on your journey to healing. You don’t have to face it alone. My approach is all about creating a safe, supportive space where you can explore your feelings and find real solutions that work for you.
I’ve also written 14 books, including the best-sellers The Rise of Rage and Anger Solutions, and I’ve spent years developing effective strategies to help people master their emotions and take back control of their lives.

Here are a few circumstances that might lead you to sit down with me:
It’s my goal to help you find hope, and practical strategies to heal, adapt and ultimately thrive. I lean towards therapies with foundations in cognitive-behavioural theory. Some approaches I use include Cognitive Processing Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Prolonged Grief Disorder Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Prior to counselling, I was a first responder and public safety professional. I know how this work changes us and it doesn’t have to be for the worst. I am grateful to have volunteered at a community-based hospice and received first-rate training on end-of-life and compassion-focused support.
