A counselling student, but also an active law enforcement officer with 13 years of experience. My work as a first responder has instilled in me the value of positive mental health, resilience, self-care, work-life balance and investment in supportive relationships. I have a special interest in occupational stress injury (OSI) and would welcome the opportunity to walk alongside you as you work towards your goals to survive and thrive post-injury and throughout your career. I also have experience holding space for those seeking to reconcile grief and loss. I have gained valuable experience at a local hospice where the primary mission is to provide compassionate care for those at end-of-life and the families supporting them. Martin Seligman says this about treatment: It is not just about fixing what is wrong; it is building what is right. I believe that we all have the instincts and competencies to live into a preferred future that is bright, meaningful and connected.
